Nine Afghan children who collected firewood in the forest were killed by American helicopters. Then, as always, after the ritual of apologies they were forgotten.

You did not read this piece of news in Italian newspapers. They preferred, all, the visit to that country of Angelina Jolie, “goodwill ambassador” of the UN (specifically UNHCR). The “superstar”stated that “civilians must be protected and not treated as targets,” specifying that she spoke of Libya and Ivory Coast. Not Afghanistan.
